This intensive for educators in the UAE is designed to expand each educator’s knowledge base and vision for developing student creative capacities, soft skill development, and accelerated learning through cultural contexts in music and college to career strategies. The approach is achieved by immersing teachers in their music creative understanding to inspire students in professional purpose, providing instructors with access to contemporary popular music pedagogies and methods, and establishing site trainers with instructional tools for continued depth and growth. This intensive professional development series of workshops, observations, study, and practice culminate into an opportunity for reflection, presentations, and a community-wide performance. The workshops will focus on Classroom environment and Music teaching pedagogies, Applied Technologies and Innovations, Music Making and Performance, and Music Business and Career development.

Additionally, Berklee Abu Dhabi will conduct focus group sessions throughout the two-day intensive to allow for continued research into the current practices, resources, and needs of the UAE teaching community.
